Aggressive carbides that efficiently cut tough substrates like metal and ceramics. The cutting blades (flutes) are designed with a more aggressive -2° rake angle, when compared with the other conventional metal-cutting carbides, which vary from -5° to -10°. A higher degree of raking is directly related to diminished cutting efficiency. Katanas unique, single-piece carbide construction results in a smoother cut when compared with 2-piece constructed carbides. There is less chattering and vibration.
