Our Team Schein Values
As a Team Schein Member (TSM), you are part of a connected and caring community that invests in your career journey and encourages you to contribute to Henry Schein’s mission of making the world healthier.
Our approach is simple: when people thrive, our mission thrives. That’s why we’ve created programs and experiences that reflect our values and strengthen our community — from fostering connection, purpose, and well-being to creating opportunities for development and recognition.
A Culture Centered on Community
We’re more than coworkers — we’re a community. Through fun, inclusive, and intentional initiatives, we help TSMs feel part of something bigger while celebrating what makes each person unique.
What this looks like:
- Henry Schein Games: a company-wide competition that divides TSMs into two teams — Team Henry and Team Esther — representing our founders
- Connection Days: fun, on-site events that encourage TSMs to connect with one another authentically and outside of their work responsibilities
- Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): employee-led groups that support a sense of belonging and connection through fostering an inclusive culture
- Team Schein Social: a matching program that allows TSMs to meet a new TSM every other month who shares similar interests and hobbies
A Deep Commitment to Caring
Caring is at the heart of who we are and what we do. We support and demonstrate our commitment to one another — and the communities we serve — through action, compassion, and a shared sense of purpose.
How we care:
- Our Wellness Committee: a cross-functional group committed to prioritizing TSM well-being along the pillars of physical health, life, emotions, work, family, and relationships
- Steps for Suicide Prevention: raising awareness and fostering open conversations around mental health, including global community walks and awareness days in September, Suicide Prevention Month
- We Care Global Challenge: brings together TSMs and our partners to make a meaningful impact on communities in need through friendly competition
- Volunteer Opportunities: opportunities throughout the year for TSMs to drive change and Help Health Happen by volunteering in their communities

Ways we empower development:
- Learning Opportunities: both formal and informal, that provide avenues for growth and development for TSMs, and empower them to recognize and cultivate their Core Leadership Capabilities
- Culture Ambassador Program: a program that recognizes TSMs who embody our Team Schein Values and connects them with New TSMs, helping to foster our supportive culture as they begin their career journeys with Henry Schein
- Mentoring Reimagined: a peer mentorship program that offers guidance and support for personal and professional goals
- Teddy Philson Team Schein Award: an award that recognizes TSMs who lead with integrity and heart, both exemplifying our values and inspiring them in others by example
