During the International Dental Show (IDS), Henry Schein, together with FDI World Dental Federation, hosted a media briefing titled “FDI’s Integrated Electronic Health Records Project”. The event combined a panel and a roundtable discussion highlighting the launch of FDI’s consensus statement on the integration of eight core oral health indicators into electronic health records (EHRs), an initiative that aims to drive innovation and is a major step toward person-centered health care and is supported by Henry Schein.
The invitation-only event was designed for the media to have an open dialogue with and hear insights from Henry Schein and FDI World Dental Federation on building a systemic health care approach and the findings from the new consensus statement.

Speakers: Dr. Greg Chadwick, President of FDI World Dental Federation; Dr. Piret Väli, Member of the Integrated Electronic Health Records Project Task Team, representative of the Board of the Estonian Dental Association, and past Vice-President of the Council of European Dentists (CED); David Kochman, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Henry Schein, Inc.; and Dr. Ryan Hungate, Chief Clinical and Strategy Officer at Henry Schein One. Session Description: FDI World Dental Federation launched a consensus statement on the integration of eight core oral health indicators into EHRs. Developed by global experts, the report highlights how oral health is deeply connected to overall well-being and why targeted and seamless data sharing between dental and medical records is key to enabling systemic health care approaches. The panel covered the rationale behind why the indicators were selected, findings from the report, and strategic solutions for implementation. With global health policy shifts already underway, the discussion touched on why now is the time to set a baseline standard for the patient data fields to be integrated between digital health care systems.
