The Henry Schein Oral Health Navigator Program is designed to help young patients avoid oral health-related complications during cancer treatment. Through this program, an "Oral Health Navigator" is assigned to a young patient who is fighting cancer. Poor oral health can complicate and even delay the provision of cancer treatment. The Oral Health Navigator facilities a plan to achieve optimal oral health for each patient by working closely with hematologist, oncologists, and dentists through the diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment. The program is based at the Cohen Children's Medical Center, based in New Hyde Park, NY, a leading provider of pediatric oncology care and part of the Northwell Health System.
