3M™ Peridex™ is an effective oral rinse indicated for the treatment of gingivitis and periodontitis. Supported by more than 20 years of clinical proof, Peridex™ oral rinse reduces aerobic and anaerobic bacteria from 54–97% within the first six months of patient use. Peridex™ mouthwash has also been shown to reduce gingival inflammation and bleeding between patient visits. This mouthwash contains alcohol, composed of 0.12% Chlorhexidine Gluconate and carries a 2-year shelf life. Patient use shows no significant changes in the oral microbial ecosystem.
