Error Code E-5

An E-5 error message may appear due to:

  • A test strip malfunction
  • A blood glucose reading above 600 mg/dL

Recommended Action:

  • Retest using a new test strip.
  • If the patient exhibits signs of hyperglycemia—such as fatigue, excessive thirst, frequent urination, or blurred vision—follow the appropriate clinical management protocol.

Error Code E-3

An E-3 message may indicate:

  • A used or damaged test strip
  • A strip left outside the vial for an extended period
  • Improper sample application

Insert a new test strip and repeat the procedure to obtain an accurate reading.
