These antibacterial (polydioxanone) monofilament synthetic absorbable sutures contain Irgacare MP (triclosan), a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent. Indicated for use in soft-tissue approximation, including use in pediatric cardiovascular tissue where growth is expected to occur, and ophthalmic surgery. These sutures are useful where the combination of an absorbable suture and extended wound support (up to 6 weeks) is desirable.
